Red-throated Diver Bird

A mounted red-throated diver, an adult displaying winter plumage. A large waterbird, this red-throated diver was recorded to have been shot on the lake at Aldermaston Court on 10th February 1951. The donor had it mounted by Garrards, which cost £2.7.6d (two pounds, seven shillings and sixpence, or two pounds and 37.5p in metric coinage).
