This photograph of Shaw House was taken in 1888. At this time Shaw House was owned by Isabelle Eyre who wanted to sell the house and estate at auction in June of the same year, however the house failed to meet the reserve of £60,000 Isabelle had placed on it – equivalent to the value of approximately £6.4 million in today’s money (2023).
