Watercolour by Frances Everett. Circa 1860s-1870s. A view of the Cloth Hall, Newbury, from the northwest. The granary is visible in the background. The scene depicted is a historical interpretation of life in 17th century Newbury. Mrs Everett was the wife of the Rector of Shaw, Revd George Frederick Everett. Revd Everett was the brother-in-law of Henry R. Eyre of Shaw House, Newbury.
