Watercolour of Shaw House by Frances Everett, circa 1860s-1870s. Landscape depicting the south elevation of Shaw House, Newbury. Two women wearing crinoline dresses are walking towards the entrance. The front of the house is covered by creepers. The grounds are mature trees, paths and flower beds. The scene is a historical interpretation by the artist. Mrs Everett was the wife of the Rector of Shaw, Revd George Frederick Everett. Revd Everett was the brother-in-law of Henry R. Eyre of Shaw House, Newbury.
