A Common Snipe, or ‘Gallinago’, mounted in a glass case on replica landscape of stone and gravel. Collected by Charles Turner, who was a Major in the Royal Berkshire Regiment, from the water meadows by the River Kennet at Crookham, Thatcham, around 1920.
