Watercolour of the Old Wharf Storehouse, Newbury, by Mary Slocock

Watercolour painting by Mary Slocock, dated between 1900-1904.  The painting shows the Old Wharf Storehouse on Newbury Wharf. This was used for storage by local grain traders Doltons at the time.  The building was demolished in 1921 following the decision to close the company and the timbers were sold at auction to an American buyer.
