A photograph of Shaw House taken in 1889. The house at this time was owned by Isabella Eyre. In June 1888 Shaw House went up for auction; the sale catalouge provides a detailed account of the estate at this time. The house failed to reach its reserve of £60,000 and Mrs Eyre returned to live there until at least 1891.
